We’re seeking an experienced Backend Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role focuses on designing, developing, and optimizing backend services that power innovative fintech applications. You will have the opportunity to work on a range of challenging projects, especially in areas like data pipelines, SQL, and cloud infrastructure. Here’s what you can expect:
Key Responsibilities:
Backend Development: Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable backend services with a strong focus on data pipelines, API development, and infrastructure.
Database Optimization: Implement and optimize databases and storage solutions to ensure high performance, reliability, and scalability.
ETL & Data Workflows: Build and maintain ETL processes and data workflows, ensuring data integrity, performance, and efficiency.
API Integration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of backend services with frontend applications and third-party systems.
Architecture & Infrastructure: Participate in architectural decisions and play a key role in continuously improving the backend infrastructure and systems.
Best Practices: Implement and advocate for backend best practices, especially in code quality, performance optimization, and security.
Technology Exploration: Proactively explore new technologies and approaches to enhance the performance, scalability, and security of backend systems.

Key Qualifications:
Experience: 5+ years of experience developing and maintaining production-level backend systems, with a strong focus on data pipelines, SQL, and cloud infrastructure.
Backend Expertise: Extensive experience in backend development, particularly with server-side languages such as Go, Python, or Node.js.
Database Proficiency: Strong expertise in database design, implementation, and optimization, particularly with relational databases and data handling.
Cloud Infrastructure: Familiarity with cloud services and infrastructure management (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Azure), with hands-on experience in deploying and scaling backend services.
Problem-Solving: Proven ability to solve complex backend challenges independently, with a focus on building reliable and scalable systems.
Communication & Collaboration: Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
Industry Passion: Keen interest in fintech, with a strong desire to work on crypto or other financial products.
Bonus Qualifications:
Blockchain Expertise: Experience with blockchain technology or crypto-related projects.
Open Source Contributions: Active contributions to open-source projects, especially in backend development.
Startup Experience: Enjoy working in startups and have been part of a team during its growth stage.
